Joan Wasser started her musical career under the wings of Rufus Wainwright and Antony & the Johnsons. Since her brilliant debut album 'Real Life' she's an artist in her own right. Her latest album 'The Deep Field' is slightly more upbeat. With a line-up of violin, piano and guitar, she writes little stories with a bittersweet ending, tempting and comforting, reconciling classic soul with a rougher post-punk sound.
