The biggest and most unexpected comeback of the year must be Dead Man Ray ending their 16-year hiatus. The indie-superband created by Daan Stuyven and Rudy Trouvé (ex-dEUS) immediately scored a cult hit back in 1996 with ‘Chemical’. With additional band members Elko Blijweert, Herman Houbrechts and Wouter Van Belle the band released their debut album ‘Berchem’ soon after, to universal acclaim. Its success allowed Dead Man Ray to tour Europe, including being invited to do a John Peel Session. Two more albums followed, of which the last one, ‘Cago’ was produced by the legendary Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies).

The band then went on their hiatus, leading to Daan’s succesful solo career. Now, all of the original band members are back, which already brought us the EP ‘EEN’, featuring first single ‘OUT’ at the end of last year, and second single ‘Blisters’ earlier this month. The new album will be released at the end of March. Expect obstinate guitar hooks, calculated chaos and noise-art cut-and-paste songs. Come and see them before their next break lasts even longer!
