Along with Jack Johnson and Donovan Frankenreiter, Ben Harper is one of the saints of the surf scene. He captured attention in a big way with his debut album ‘Welcome To The Cruel World’, back in 1994.

Nearly three decades later, the man with the hat is one of the most globally respected singer-songwriters and multi-instrumentalists (that slide guitar!). On top of that, he’s an engaging story-teller, who doesn’t shy away from including politics and spirituality in his songs.

On stage, Harper evokes his versatility with as much aplomb as he does on record, recreating that late-night beach vibe without sacrificing depth.

Since performing his first major show outside of the U.S. right here in Belgium, Harper has a special bond with our country. He loves returning here, and will do so to create the ultimate summer night at Cactusfestival.
