More than ten years ago we were introduced to White Lies, the British band of guitarist and singer Harry McVeigh, bassist Charles Cave and drummer Jack Lawrence-Brown, through their fantastic debut album ‘To Lose My Life’. Ten years later the title track and ‘Farewell To The Fairground’ are remembered as genuine rock anthems of the nillies. One year after the debut they repeated the success with hit single ‘Bigger Than Us’. Try finding a millennial who doesn’t know the chorus by heart.

By now White Lies has reached their sixth album. ‘As I Try Not To Fall Apart’ was written in full lockdown, and for the first time since the band’s existence, not in the same room. It doesn’t make the new record any less impressive. The album, co-produced by Claudius Mittendorfer (Panic! At The Disco, Weezer, Parquet Courts) and Ed Buller (Suede, Pulp, Courteeners), is their most diverse to this date. Explosive rock songs are alternated by electropop bangers, prog-inspired influences and funky grooves, without renouncing the well-known White Lies sound.

Live, White Lies guarantees an exciting trip down memory lane and a mix of surprising new work that makes it impossible to stand still. They already proved that earlier this year with their club tour and will do it again in the Minnewaterpark. Boomers also allowed!
