Maria Luiza Grymonprez 'Malú' (she/her), is a dancer/performer and visual artist. In her work, Malú celebrates her queer femme existence through identity, sensuality and sexuality. Her style is inspired by vogue, heels, dancehall, street dance and Latin dance styles. With her workshop, Malú aims to create a safe space for anyone who wants to express their 'femme energy', Femmergy! Through various empowerment exercises, she aims to make you more confident without focusing too much on choreography and technique.

TWERKING

An interactive performance with the audience, with TW*RKSHOP's dancers leaving no derriere untouched. Mixed with Dj Bowa's solid beats and transformed into everyone's favourite cocktail thanks to the audience. Big/small, male/female, young/old and everything in between: Free Your Mind... Your ass Will Follow!

POPPING

D.O.G. (Do Only Good)-family represent! RODIE BOYINDOMBE LOKASSA, organiser of the annual Sharp Shooter Battles, part of the 'Funky Belgian'Z'-crew is taking the stage at Benenwerk! Popping is a funk-style dance that originated in the late 70s and consists of making a contraction and decontraction in rhythm. During this session, Rodie will work with you to give your muscles the grip for the intensely focused dance style that characterises popping. Get ready to move!

THE FAM is the all-round dance crew founded by Saartje Vandecasteele, Yves Herman and Aygul Douzmanov. This crew unites people with one goal: the passion around dancing. Not the best, the prettiest, the most flexible, the youngest? Totally ok. It's not about that. It's about dancing! At Benenwerk, you can experience a taster of The Fam's Hip Hop classes. Also, expect a The Fam performance somewhere on the Benenwerk track.
