With Tamino Amir, Belgium has its own world class musician, who combines gentle star power with songs of a universal level. Since releasing the dreamy ‘Habibi’, things have escalated quickly for the young Belgian with Egyptian-Lebanese roots. His debut album ‘Amir’ saw him play at the Lotto Arena and even sold out the Cirque Royale three times. Follow-up ‘Sahar’ has broadened the horizons even further, with Vorst Nationaal, London’s Koko, Amsterdam’s Paradiso and Paris’ Zénith all welcoming the young star, while his American tour is selling out quickly as well.

Timeless class. Mysterious, immeasurable depth. ‘Tamino has a voice that carries this hypnotizing, direct force of something prehistoric’, according to NPR. ‘A pop star for our modern age’, claims GQ. Opportunities to witness Tamino live this summer are extremely limited, but one of those will be his closing set at the most beautiful festival park Belgium has to offer.
